Sunday Afternoon Message Service

Sunday afternoon message service is a one-hour service located in the Andrew Jackson Davis building in Cassadaga. ​

The service is open to everyone who would like to attend and is preceded by community lunch with light refreshments. During the Sunday afternoon message service, a group of mediums and student mediums give brief greetings from loved ones who have transitioned to the other side of life. The mediums do their best to reach as many people as they can within the hour. This demonstration of mediumship is a great way for those new to Spiritualism to experience proof of continuity of life and communication with spirit. 
 Commonly known to locals as “Grove Service”, Sunday afternoon message service was originally started by Cassadaga pioneers, and was held in the wooded area located behind what is now Colby Memorial Temple. This service is held every Sunday from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
