At a very early age, Joan Piper realized that she was seeing things that other people were not….spirits from the afterlife intermixed with the living. She discovered her ability to see and talk to spirits at the age of six following a visit from her recently deceased grandfather.  Not only has she found happiness communicating with several of her departed relatives, she has also acted as a portal to the spirit world for hundreds of people wanting desperately to reconnect with loved ones.
   
Joan Piper is a certified medium, speaker and teacher. She resides and works at the Southern Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp in Florida. She describes her work as a medium as being “a window to the spirit world.”   Reuniting people with their loved ones who have passed on has been a great joy to Joan. She has helped hundreds of people find closure and peace. She says the spirits usually appear in the state in which they were most happy on earth.  One example is her father. Though both his legs had to be amputated, his spirit comes to her dancing.

Joan is clairvoyant, clairsentient, clairaudient, clairomniscient and clairgustient.

A clairvoyant is a person who has the ability to perceive matters beyond the range of ordinary perception.  A clairsentient is a person who acquires  knowledge primarily by means of feelings through the spirit realm.  A clairaudient is  a person who acquires information by paranormal auditory means or hearing.  A clairomniscient is a person who acquires knowledge primarily by means of intrinsic knowledge, or the ability to know something without knowing how or why they know it.  A clairgustient is a person who possesses the ability to perceive the essence of a substance from the spiritual or ethereal realms through taste and smell
